The best sauna experience in Quebec City is Strøm Spa Nordique Vieux-Québec, a Nordic spa with Finnish saunas and outdoor baths on the waterfront, at $75 to $115 per person. Cheaper options are Sibéria Station Spa in the Lac-Beauport area ($50 to $80) and Le Nordique Spa Stoneham, a 30-minute drive away ($54 to $74). There is no public pay-per-session sauna in the old city that we could verify.
Key facts: Strøm Old Quebec $75 Mon–Thu after 5 pm, $85 Mon–Thu, $115 anytime · Sibéria $50 after 5 pm, $60 Tue–Thu, $80 anytime · Le Nordique Stoneham $54 eco days and 5–8 pm, $74 regular · minimum age 16, 16 and 18 · no official page mentions sauna hats (checked 31 Oct 2026).
Which saunas are in Quebec City?
Three Nordic spas have official sites that state prices and rules. These are thermal circuits (hot, cold, rest, repeat) rather than single-sauna drop-ins, so the entry price covers saunas, baths and steam together. Prices are as listed; the $ currency is not labelled on every page, and none of the three states whether taxes are included except where noted.

How much is Strøm in Old Quebec?
Strøm's official entry page lists $85 Monday to Thursday outside high season, $75 Monday to Thursday after 5 pm and $115 any time including high season. A bathrobe, towel and locker are included, and the circuit has outdoor whirlpools, thermal and Nordic baths, Finnish saunas, a eucalyptus steam bath, thermal and Nordic waterfalls and relaxation areas with fireplaces. The thermal experience is open daily 9:00–22:00. You must be 16; 12–17-year-olds are admitted with an adult and photo ID on "Drøm" evenings (Tuesday and Wednesday). Reservations are recommended but not mandatory: free changes up to 48 hours before, then a 25% fee, and a 50% no-show fee. You have one hour after your booked time to start. Parking is free according to Strøm's plan-your-visit page.
Is Sibéria cheaper than Strøm?
Yes, on every tier we compared: $50 against $75 after 5 pm on weekdays, $60 against $85 off-peak and $80 against $115 anytime. Sibéria does not include a bathrobe (bring one or rent for a fee) and a swimsuit and sandals are required. It has Nordic baths and whirlpools, saunas, steam baths and cold waterfall baths, with a silent zone and a quiet-conversation zone. Sauna types are not described on the pages we read, so we do not describe them either. Reservation is recommended, not required, and the fee is paid on site; cancel 48 hours ahead or pay 25%. There are stairs and no elevator or ramp, so it is not fully accessible.
Is Le Nordique in Stoneham worth the drive?
If price and quiet matter more than being in town, yes. Its eco-responsible weekday rate is $54, matching its 5–8 pm rate (the two do not stack), against $74 regular. Admission includes two rented towels; bathrobes are rented or bought separately. It lists Finnish dry saunas, a Turkish steam bath, outdoor hot tubs, a Nordic bath and outdoor cold plunge pools. Adults only unless 14–17 with an adult (one minor per adult). Spa access does not require a reservation, massages do, at least 7 days ahead. Plan on a car: the spa says it is a 30-minute drive from Quebec City.
Can you wear a sauna hat in Quebec City's spas?
None of the three official sites states a sauna-hat rule. The Strøm and Sibéria pages mention sunglasses or a toque depending on the season, which is advice for the outdoor baths, not a statement about the saunas. Le Nordique's FAQ does not mention hats either. Absence of a rule is not permission. [DATO PROPIO PENDIENTE: email each spa and quote their written reply here.] If you want to bring one, our 100% merino felt sauna hat is $59.99 CAD, compared with others in best sauna hats in Canada. Disclosure: we sell it. For the physics see sauna temperature at head height.
What about SkySpa and the hotel spas?
A 2023 Chasing Poutine guide (page metadata updated 21 October 2026) lists SkySpa Québec in Sainte-Foy and Spa du Littoral in Beauport, both press-reported only. We found no official page with prices, hours or rules for either, so we do not list them in the table. The same applies to hotel spas: we found no evidence of a sauna circuit at the big downtown hotels and will not claim one. That guide, the most prominent comparison we found, gives no prices, hours, ages or hat rules, which is the gap this page fills.
What should you bring?
Swimsuit and sandals at all three, a bathrobe at Sibéria and in winter at Stoneham, and a toque for walking between outdoor baths. Strøm bans glass containers and has no Wi-Fi, with quiet zones and only quick, discreet photos allowed. Our Nordic spa checklist and first-time etiquette guide go through the rest. How we checked
We read each spa's official pages on 31 October 2026 (prices, hours, FAQ and rules) and recorded the figures as written. Strøm's street address and the SkySpa and Spa du Littoral listings are press- or directory-sourced, and Sibéria's street address and tax treatment were not on the pages we read. We did not visit for this guide. We could not retrieve search "People also ask" boxes or Reddit threads, so FAQ questions come from gaps in existing guides, not scraped data.
